For many in the world of health, the issue of Big Pharma putting profits ahead of good health is not new news, but it is increasingly appearing in the mainstream media, such as in a weekend article in The Sydney Morning Herald (link below). And so it should, exposing the industry for what it is. Granted, there are great discoveries out there and medications which do great things, but too often the good in the industry is lost in a sea of murky ethics and questionable practices.

This is perhaps the prime example of one of the problems with the Western medical model: that too often the only thing that is looked at is the symptom attached to the person. Treat it with a drug, a machine or a device, and the problem is solved. But what about the person attached to the symptom?

At Edgecliff Respiratory Centre, we look at both. It’s vital to determine the root cause of symptoms so that every attempt can be made to stop them from occurring, rather than just applying a bandaid solution. Our thorough assessment considers you as an entire person where all body systems are interconnected and therefore are interdependent on one another.

Medications have their place and they can improve and save lives, but if steps are taken to restore the body to its natural balanced state by natural means, medications may become unnecessary.
